Here are my Colgate connections…………………
- When I moved to Maryland, I was invited to quarterly Colgate lunches in Baltimore with Tom Baker, Bob Locke and Ed Madden. The Pandemic ended that in-person activity and we started to have monthly Zoom Lunches. We added Keith Radhuber, Dave Heath, Bill Holbrook, Ben Blackshear, Ray Wengenroth. Zoom is a breakthrough way to stay connected.
- Tom Baker and I attended Colgate lacrosse at Navy in February….I have forgotten the score.
- Tom Baker recruited me to talk with/encourage recently accepted MD students to attend Colgate in Fall 2020.
- The 69er Reunion Steering Committee has begun Zoom Meetings to plan for the 55th Reunion (click link for Committee of 13)……https://colgate69.com/page/69team
- Keith Radhuber joined me and my wife Lynne for a August weekend at our new Chesapeake Bay Condo in Havre de Grace, MD.
- More 69er bonding is planned for Fall 2020………………….Go Gate….Go 69ers.

Our attendance at Colgate athletics in Maryland also included watching an exciting win by the volleyball players.
The Colgate-Navy lax game score was best forgotten…we lost.

Hello Tom:
Thanks for your thoughtful email. I am listing below the classmates with whom I have spoken in the past year. The exact timing is tough to remember.
- Larry Blake- we catch up on the every summer or when a family health issue crops up.
- Rich Tucker- re-connection with my 2 year roommate after way too many years of silence
- Bob Moncrief-we talk on the phone as often as we can and we have been able to visit when we go to Pasadena, CA to visit my wife's side of the family
- Bill Miles-another roommate connection and a vist in Nashville when Bill is en route to The Masters
- Al Mastraccio-lives in Maine where we live in the summer. We visit in Portland during "normal" times
- Bob Seaberg- we were in close touch when I was working and going to NY often. Now I talk to/email Bob to stay abreast
- Art Clark- a terrific "stay connected" guy who stays in touch-Art calls and emails
I am sure there are more, but my memory is not as good as it once was. It is very gratifying to hear from classmates and I treasure the friendships.
Kind Regards

- What you have been doing since our 50th Reunion? I, and the Board of Directors I recruited, founded a new non-profit right-to-die organization. I invite you to explore our website at www.ChoiceAndDignity.org With the damn virus, our cause is more popular than ever.
- Which 69ers have you been in touch with? I was in touch with 3 or 4 shortly after the reunion, and saw one who lives here in Tucson, but since COVID I’ve pretty much hibernating.
- How are you coping with COVID-19? Wearing a mask, staying home as much as possible, and backing Biden.
- I saw my classmate John who plays guitar in a rock group at 2 local Tucson venues.

Jim Waters, Tom Baker and Harry Payne
Tom-Hi. I'm replying for Tom Baker, Harry Payne and myself. We've been Zooming since April and do so once very 3 weeks or so. Our families are all healthy, and through our conversations, we've been able to solve many of the world's greatest problems.
All three of us spent a semester in London, and it's been enjoyable reliving those experiences as well as many on campus. But most of our discussions focus on the present, particularly on the current political climate and the upcoming election. Without becoming partisan at this point, we all a have common view of our country's needs. And I suspect our views have a lot to do with the shaping process that took place in Hamilton, NY from 1965 to 1969.
Best wishes, Tom, particularly to a fellow Rocklander. Stay safe and healthy.
Jim
